40th Anniversary Christmas Dinner
Friday 30th Nov 2018
The Oxford and Cambridge Society of New England cordially invites you to the
40th Anniversary Christmas Dinner
Friday 30th November 2018
6:30-10:30pm
Winchester Country Club
The Guest of Honor at this Christmas’ dinner is the elite international oarswoman Caryn Davies (Pembroke College, Oxford)
Never mind Caryn’s three Olympic medals: Her claim to fame in this context is having stroked the Oxford Blue Boat to victory in the first women’s Boat Race held on the Tideway, and also being the first woman to win a headship in the men’s division at Summer Eights.
Attire for gentlemen will be black tie, college blazer or business suit.
The event is open to OxCamNE members and their guests. Tickets cost $100 per person ($85 for student members) including wine and port with dinner and reception drinks. Please reserve online (you can pay using PayPal, a credit/debit card, or by check), for more information contact David Manns at secretary@oxcamne.org. Advance reservation is required and should be made by Monday November 26th.
The Winchester Country Club has ample parking. Directions are here. Although the Winchester Country Club is in the suburbs, one of the reasons we selected it is that it is accessible from Boston and Cambridge by public transportation. There is infrequent bus service (bus 350) between Alewife Station and the club (Mystic Street/Old Mystic Street stop), or it is a short Lyft/Uber ride from Alewife.
The Annual Meeting of Members (AGM) and the Regular Meeting of Directors will take place at the dinner. Members in good standing will receive the official notice of the meeting in a separate email.
Sincerely,
William Leaf-Herrmann
William Leaf-Herrmann (Churchill, Cambridge),
