The 13th Annual Ancient Universities Alumni Burns Nicht

Hilton Back Bay, Boston

Saturday, January 25, 2020

Our popular, elegant, and festive Scottish ceilidh will once again take place in Copley Square in central Boston. The event is open to members of the Society, co-sponsor Ancient Universities’ alumni organizations, and The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA, with their guests.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:00pm. A bagpipe & drum demonstration and a performance by Highland Dance Boston will follow. Pipers Kevin and Heather Wisehart, Drummer Quinn McCormack, and Highland Dance Boston, led by Robert McOwen, will lead the procession to dinner at 7:00pm.

After dinner, toasts and the Immortal Memory address, Boston Scottish Country Dancers will perform and then lead country dancing until 11:30pm.

Attire for gentlemen will be black tie (kilt, of course), or lounge suit.

The cost of the dinner is $145 per person and includes the reception with cash bar, 3-course dinner with wines, and dancing.

Book online, or contact David Manns at secretary@oxcamne.org with any questions. The deadline for reservations to be received is 9:00am Friday, January 17, 2020 for the Haggis option. Because we are required by the hotel to guarantee a final count at that time, cancellations later than that are not refundable. Booking will continue to be open until 9:00am on Monday, January 20 with chicken and vegetarian options available.

The Hilton Boston Back Bay is located next to the Prudential Center in Copley Square. Location, directions, and parking information can be found here.

Should you wish to rent a kilt for the event, you can find possible sources here.

Sincerely,

Ashley Stevens
