Membership of the Society is open to all graduates and current students of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge as well as those closely associated in other ways such as visiting faculty, Rhodes and Marshall scholars etc. If in doubt about your eligibility, or with other questions, please contact the membership secretary at secretary@oxcamne.org. For most of us, just the opportunity to meet our fellow members is in itself a sufficient reason to join the Society. But equally the opportunities to socialize, network, be entertained and educated are part of what makes the society vibrant. And, our formal dinners also provide a little nostalgia for those years in college. Members are welcome to bring spouses and guests to the events. The annual membership fee is $20, but this is reduced to $5 for students and recent graduates (within the past year). You can apply to join the Society
or renew your membership online, using your credit card or paypal account. To reserve places at upcoming events, click on the events in the 'Upcoming Events' section on the left. If you are uncomfortable with online transactions, print out and complete the Membership Application/Renewal Form and send it to the address specified with your check. All of the Society's
events are run totally by member volunteers. This dedicated and diligent group
plans, coordinates and organizes each function. If you would like to help
out and get involved
please let us know. Keeping in Touch In addition to invitations to the formal Society events which all members receive, we occasionally publish notices about other events of interest to members, including our informal monthly pub nights as well as Oxford & Cambridge related events outside the Society, and reservation deadline reminders for our own events. To see these additional notices, you can either follow our Facebook Page, or subscribe to the group mailing list (we use a Yahoo group for this) by signing up below. This group is used only for additional mailings as just described. The Society also maintains a group on LinkedIn that you might like to join.
The Society is also affiliated with the Algonquin Club of Boston (www.algonquinclub.org). Society members in good standing can join the Algonquin Club as Affiliate Dining Members. This is a very economical way to join the Algonquin Club and provides most of the privileges of Algonquin Club membership except for reciprocal club memberships. Contact the Algonquin Club Membership Coordinator directly at (617) 266-2400 for more information. |
