Freshers and New Members Reception

Please join us at a reception to:
congratulate and wish bon voyage to US students heading to Oxford or Cambridge for the first time, and give them an opportunity to meet alumni
welcome newly arriving alumni joining the society as new members (note, new members attending the reception receive the first year of Society membership free. Those attending who joined over the last 3 months will receive a refund of their dues).
The reception will take place on
Thursday, September 5th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
at the Union Club of Boston, 8 Park St.
The Union Club, in its wonderful setting overlooking Boston Common, is easily reached by public transportation (Park Street T-Station) and parking is available in the Boston Common Garage.
Freshers (US students heading to full time study at Cambridge or Oxford for the first time) are invited to attend as complimentary guests of the Society. Parents of freshers are also welcomed but need to pay for their tickets.
For members (old, new and prospective!) and their guests the price of the event is $45 including hors d'oeuvres and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. There will also be a cash bar. The price is $30 for students (those studying full-time in the 2019-20 academic year and those who graduated from full-time study in the 2018-19 academic year). The Union Club has a business casual dress code.
Please reserve your places by Monday September 2nd.
Freshers please register online, selecting the Fresher ticket. Please select your College affiliation and in the 'notes' box please tell us your course and subject of study. You can add parents to your reservation as guests but they need paid tickets.
