will speak on

Open Innovation for Services:  Challenges and Opportunities

The growth of services reflects the transformation of the world economy from industrial to post-industrial service society.  In most developed economies over 70% of the working population is employed by service firms.  In recent times, organizations have learnt a lot about how to design and innovate products, recognizing the permeability of boundaries and acknowledging that external knowledge is critical to the innovation process. However, we know less about the opportunities and challenges of open innovation for services.  We explore the role of mobile and other digital technologies in the development and deployment of business models for healthcare and financial services.
